Hillcroft Surgery Supplies is a key supplier of medical equipment for surgeries and health centres throughout the UK.
As with many business-to-business markets, online ordering is fast becoming the norm, with over half of our eCommerce projects now focussed around B2B clients. While following many of the conventions and practices employed in consumer focused eCommerce sites, B2B eCommerce does present additional and different challenges - for instance, ensuring that each customer views the correct pricing levels for their account, which can sometimes differ on a product by product basis.
Hillcroft had further challenges too. The company uses Sage Line 50 to process orders and manage stock, with multiple telephone sales members inputting orders and allocating stock simultaneously. Thus, it was essential that the new website integrate with Sage to ensure that customer service and business processes were maintained through all sales channels. Based on our track record in implementing complex stock management and ERP systems such as OGL ProfitPlus and OrderWise, Hillcroft selected morphsites to design and develop their new site.
Sage Line 50 is a powerful business tool used by many companies, not just for accounts, but sales order processing, stock control and returns management. One of the primary goals of the new site was to add value to Hillcroft's existing customers by providing an online platform through which they could access various account information, such as invoices, statements and orders.
We used Zynk to handle data communication between Hillcroft's Sage Server and the website. This allows data such as sales orders, invoices, statements and pricing, along with product stock levels to be accesible to the appropriate customers on the website. In turn, orders placed on the site, along with depletion of stock levels are added to Hillcroft's Sage system seamlessly.
Sage Line 50 Integration provides Hillcroft's customers with instant access to a wealth of relevant account information previously only available by contacting the company, via the website's Customer Account Portal. As a result, Hillcroft's customer services team are left with greater resource to assist customers with more complex enquiries.
The Customer Account Portal also hosts other features which add user value, such as the ability to arrange returns and manage lists of regularly ordered products. Customers may also pay account balances via the portal, which integrates with our morphpay® Payment Gateway.

morphsites have done a great job of creating our website, due to the complexity of our site and requirements it was a long haul and there were plenty of mountains to climb but they kept going and we all got there in the end!
