digital agency jobs uk

At morphsites, we help our clients achieve success through innovative technology and ideas, our digital expertise, and a passion for our work. Projects can vary widely, from large e-commerce site design and builds, to ‘brochure-style’ websites, as well as site improvement initiatives for new and existing clients, with everything we do built on honesty, transparency, quality and long-term partnerships with our customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technical project manager/project co-ordinator to help drive successful project implementation and optimal results for our clients.

As a team player, the successful candidate will build a close working relationship with account managers and the wider morphsites team to support each client. Your role will involve understanding a customer’s requirements, as well as their pain points, goals and systems. Then, working with internal stakeholders (including account managers, developers, system administrators, digital marketers) and third-party providers, you will create considered project scopes and technical specifications for the production team to implement.

With technical responsibility for the projects you co-ordinate, you’ll be involved in all areas of the process of building and/or enhancing a successful website or web-based software application. Throughout the project, you will collaborate with the team to make sure information is gathered to support developers and other key production team staff, as well as making sure that all agreed technical elements of the project are successfully and efficiently implemented.

You’ll attend regular video-based and occasional face-to-face meetings with the project team, as well as attending client calls and meetings as needed. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll also be involved in tracking and managing resources, timelines, and project hours, as well as gathering and sharing information internally and externally.

You’ll learn all about our products and services, so that you’re able to translate technical concepts into jargon-free updates, with all the help you need from our 30-strong team.

Experience and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, friendly, and patient approach.
  • The confidence to talk to and build rapport with others is essential, as you will need to feel comfortable liaising with team members at all levels of our clients’ businesses.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and great problem-solving skills are important, to help find the best solutions to meet clients’ needs.
  • Project management qualifications aren't required, but great organisation skills are a must, as is attention to detail, as you are likely to have responsibility for multiple projects on a day-to-day basis.
  • Good IT competency is essential, with a clear understanding of websites, digital and UX approaches.
  • An understanding of APIs at a conceptual and documentation level, as well as software development and database concepts.
  • Flexibility to adapt to requirements from customers and within the business

The following are not essential, but would be an advantage to bring to the role:

  • Experience of working in a web/digital agency environment.
  • Product training will be given, but experience of a using a content management system, such as WordPress or Statamic would be beneficial.
  • Experience of using Jira, Trello or similar project software, and supporting methodologies.
